Market knowledge

Aerospace Packaging

If you work at an OEM, Tier 1 supplier or MRO facility in the aerospace or avionics industries, you'll understand that aerospace packaging is vital in protecting the products you manufacture and use.

Aerospace packaging protects high-value aviation and space components during shipping, handling, and storage. It prevents damage caused by mechanical shock, vibration, moisture, extreme temperatures, and electrostatic discharge. Aerospace packaging can include custom foam inserts, anti-static bags, heavy-duty containers, and climate control materials.

At Suttons Performance Packaging, we can design and manufacture custom transit containers, heavy-duty packaging, and precision foam inserts that are tailored precisely to your specific requirements. From delicate avionics and flight control units to heavy turbine components and structural airframe assemblies, we have the experience, material knowledge and manufacturing capability to help.

What we do
Advantage

Data intake and CAD analysis

We import your 3D CAD models (STEP, IGES, etc.) and analyse part fragility, mass distribution, and transport modes.

Short lead times without needing physical parts on site.

Prototyping and material selection

Our experts select the exact combination of outer material (timber, corrugated, plastic, flight cases) and inner foam density.

Optimised packaging that prevents over-engineering and minimises costs (including shipping).

Testing and validation

Computer-simulated stress analysis and physical drop/vibration testing.

Verified performance before full production runs.

Flexible manufacturing and VMI

Scalable production from single prototype units to full production batches, backed by Vendor-Managed Inventory options.

Reduces warehousing requirements and ensures consistent supply/stock levels with Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery options.
