Triple-wall cardboard boxes, in addition to custom sizes, can also incorporate numerous bespoke features. These include integral pallets for ease of handling, foam interiors for added cushioning protection, and external print for branding and important handling symbols/instructions.

Triple-wall corrugated cardboard is a corrugated material that features three layers of fluting and four liners (seven layers in total). This structure compares to single-wall and double-wall materials, which have one and two layers of fluting, respectively. As a result, heavy-duty triple-wall cardboard boxes have exceptional crush and burst resistance, with strength approaching that of wooden crates while being considerably lighter.

Triple-wall boxes are suitable for products and loads weighing between 250 and 500kg. Although this varies slightly depending on the specific grade and the pack’s structural design, it means a triple-wall export box is suitable for a range of heavy-duty and industrial packaging applications.

Tri-Wall commonly refers to the original manufacturer of triple-wall material. In contrast, triple wall is a more generic term used to describe the material itself (which includes that produced by other manufacturers). The terms are often interchangeable.
